PRESENTING SPONSOR
CUBAVERA - Presenting Sponsorshop online for CUBAVERA guayaberas, jackets, suits, pants & hats
Cubavera is a division of Perry Ellis International

Building on the success of Perry Ellis International, George and Oscar Feldenkreis decided to capitalize on the growth, potential, and appeal of Latin culture by expanding into a full lifestyle brand, and in 2000 launched CUBAVERA. Since its inception the Cubavera brand has transformed the ideals, joy and "sabor" of Latin culture into apparel. Taking authentic fundamentals from the traditional guayabera, the brand couples innovative fabrics and design for a new twist on a traditional staple. The line has developed from its signature shirts into a collection offering a variety of suit separates, shirts, jackets, pants and shorts.

Omara & Chucho

Exposed!

Omara & ChuchoOmara Portuondo and Chucho Valdés are back together with their second album titled "Omara & Chucho". They continue their exploration of the emotive power of simplicity. They present a selection of tunes that bear personal meaning to them, and present these songs unadorned, naked. With the exception of Wynton Marsalis on "Esta Tarde Vi Llover" and Rossio Jimenez Blanco with backing vocals on "Huesito", the album is just Chucho's piano and Omara's voice. They are two people completely exposed, sharing an intimacy with their listeners. The music is primarily a mix of boleros, trova moving into fílin. This is not salsa, but music to be listened to as you sit drinking a glass of wine with your loved one a warm summer evening or a cold winter night in front of the fire.

Ahora disponible - Now available

Exploding onto the Cuban music scene in Lima, Perú, Bárbaro Fines y su Mayimbe deliver hard core timba that has reached international acclaim. An ex-Charanga Forever, Salsa Mayor, Banda Meteoro and Alaín Daniel pianist, Bárbarito delivers his original vision and sound with his first release..."De La Habana A Perú", also the title track of the record. La descarga incluye el librito complete del disco.

Here's a video salute to all their fans and a short "making of" this new record:
