2005 — A great year for Cuban salsa releases: the ten best

Last year saw a great resurgence of Cuban salsa releases that should end debates on whether salsa is dead; even though it could be argued that the year was marked by a foreign market orientation and less originality then the heydayof late-1990s timba. My list is compiled from Cuban releases rather than official releases so you may find some albums that have not been officially released yet, etc.
