Tom Ehrlich - Dee Dee Bridgewater

Dee Dee Bridgewater is one of he most dynamic jazz vocalists on the scene today - possessing a great voice, stage personality and dance moves.  In addition, her band is a latin jazz band, with the fantastic Edsel Gomez as the musical director and pianist, Vince Cherico on drums, Ira Coleman on bass and Luisito Quintero on latin percussion.  Apparently Dee Dee missed her flight and while the crowd was waiting for her to show up, her band smoked on a series of latin jazz standards, which I thoughly enjoyed.  Dee Dee made up for her tardiness with one of the most exciting sets of music at the festival.
