Part III: The Bloques of Charanga Habanera, Album by Album
Here are some of the bloque highlights of each of the first five albums. (To make them easier to study, all of these examples are edited so that the very first sound is always the exact downbeat of "1". This makes it easier to quickly get into the groove and count the bloque, although it frequently chops off the pickup of a horn or vocal line). The two MIDI examples were played by Yulién Oviedo (all percussion) and Tirso Duarte (piano & bass).
