El Paisa has worked with high level groups in Cuba such as Pupy y Los Que Son Son, Klímax, Manolín "El Medico de la Salsa" and Enrique Álvarez y su Charanga Latina. He has also had the opportunity to record the CD "Dicen Que El Son" together with Hugo Morejón, trombonist from Los Van Van.
He currently lives in Belgium where he formed the group Contrabando. The group's first CD, "En Mi Habana",was released in 2007. In 2010 they followed up with "Abriendo Caminos". To read the PDF about Contrabando click here and to see their concert dates for the spring and summer, click here.
