Rodney is a great Jazz drummer, but plays Timba with a rock solid groove. He lists his influences as Julio Barreto, Dave Weckyl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dennis Chambers and Changuito. After Issac's departure to the US, Rodney and many other core members of Issac's group were picked up by Alexander to create the hottest new group of 2007, Havana D'Primera, where Rodney is the section leader for the percussion.
