Producciones Abdala

Estudios de Grabación Abdala was founded by trovador Silvio Rodriguez in 1998 and later evolved into Producciones Abdala S.A., which is part of Corporación Cimex S. A.  Its primary focus has been marketing the services of its state of the art recording studios, which are frequently used for productions that are ultimately released by other labels.  At this writing, the studio complex in Havana has three different recording studios and a fourth masterizing room. 

There are also two record labels under the Producciones Abdala umbrella: Unicornio and Presto. There is also a publishing company, Atril.  With an output of more than 140 recordings, these labels have accumulated several Cubadisco awards and nine Latin GRAMMY nominations.  The publishing company has a catalogue of over 400 Cuban musical works along with educational materials.
