Yoshi's Jazz Club, the Bay Area's premier jazz club, with locations on both sides of the Bay - San Francisco and Oakland, held a 40th Anniversary Celebration outside at Jack London Square, Oakland, California on August 26, 2012.  The crowd at the free celebration was estimated to be 5,000.  I photographed two of the groups - Dos 4, a Cuban hip/hop/salsa group, who has developed a large following and John Santos Sextet with guests Kenny Washington and Orestes Vilató one of the best Latin Jazz Groups in the world today.
