notes: Orlando Fiol calls this type of melodic bassline bajo cantado, and indeed, the García book quotes Arsenio as saying the that "the bass must sing". In this case, as the "singing bass" holds down the time, Arsenio's tres solo stretches it as far as it will go. El rincón also features another exceptionally creative harmonized bloque.
